So here we go into the fall political season, and I’m wondering – does anybody truly care? So maybe the Democrats have the opportunity to take control of Congress back. Does anybody in the lot have even the slightest idea what they’d do with it? It seems to me the Democratic Party couldn’t break out of a wet paper bag right now. I’ve heard several in the party speak of a Democratic agenda. Really. Where do you suppose they're hiding it? This bunch doesn’t seem to have enough smarts or backbone to decide what snacks to serve at an informal brunch, much less an agenda for the whole country.
Which leaves us with the Republicans, who have an agenda. Problem is, theirs is so exclusive that unless you're a white male Protestant over 40, you're outta luck.
I keep thinking back to the elections in Iraq. How those people risked bullets and bombs to vote, how they held up their ink-stained fingers with pride. What are WE risking?
Given the amount of anger and disillusionment I sense, I’m wondering just how bad the turnout’s going to be. It’s a shame we have so little regard for ourselves, our children, our future, our planet. We lead, like it or not. By example or by screwing up, we lead. And regardless of how little faith you have in them, NOT to participate in the process dooms us all. Can you imagine the shock on every politician’s face in D.C. if 80 or 90 percent of the people took the time to vote in November? It would scare them shitless…
So on that first Tuesday in November, what will you decide to risk?

I can't imagine why anybody who has money in the bank and a job would vote for the Donks. All they want to do is put their hands in your pocket and give the money to other people "the less fortunate" (read lazy, shiftless, having babies out of wedlock that they can't afford, no skills, no education and no ambition) who whine that the "entitlements" aren't enough to live on....
The Great Society programs of the 60s are a huge failure. The welfare program has done nothing more than to remove black men as the heads of families and thus, providers. No wonder they end up in prison or selling drugs or in gangs...they have nothing else to do! They've been reduced to nothing more than sperm donors, and then sent packing by the women who just get a bigger stipend for each child.
You want to abstain from voting or vote Democrat? Prepare to be told how to live, where to live, and be taxed to the hilt.
These people favor special rights for gays, and although I don't have a problem with gays, but one of the root words of homosexual is SEX. It's what you do in the privacy of your bedroom, and that's your business, but don't get in MY face about your "rights." Gays have as many rights as I do, and they can marry too, just not each other. I don't have a problem with that either. Marriage is for family and procreation, not who gets to visit in the hospital when you're sick, or who can inherit if you die intestate. Do what the rest of us do and write a will if you're so worried about it.
Basically the Dhimmocrats are a loose federation of special interests and socialist agendas and I have no desire to be a socialist. Heck, I live in the most liberal city in Texas (80% Libs), and you can't even smoke in a BAR anymore because the libs robbed us of that, too. And the kicker is that most of the people who voted for this law don't even go out to the places they would happily put out of business!
Oh, and not to mention that because of the libs on SCOTUS, they can now take your PROPERTY and give it to a commerical developer if it's deemed an eyesore, or hindering development, so make sure you don't stay home on election day....The R's may be petty and stupid, but they're not socialists.
