A horse, a Horse, My Kingdom for a Horse...

It’s only been a week, and already the Democratic leadership has managed to corner the market on incompetent leadership skills. If this wasn’t so serious, I’d think I was watching a spin-off of the NBC comedy ‘The Office’, with Nancy Pelosi cast as the idiotic leader a la Steve Carell’s character (sidebar – he’s outstanding, by the way).

Pelosi seems to think the ol’ politics as usual is going to fly with the voters. Backing Murtha and Hastings, two men of dubious character (especially the latter), only reinforces my perception she’s as clueless as George Bush regarding the necessary qualities for leadership of this country. At least her colleagues were sensible enough to vote for Hoyer over Murtha.
She seems to have little or no awareness of why the voters put the Dems in charge of Congress in the first place. They did not put you there, Ms. Pelosi, to immediately start acting like the Republicans you replaced.
